Up to Letter J.

Still slowly stitching up the alphabet. Up to letter J, and am working on K. Almost halfway. Being inspected by Georgina this morning.

Block Three of the aiming for Accuracy Quilt Along.

My dear husband took the children to Sydney giving me a whole day of sewing time. Which was great and very needed as this was a big block.
I am happy that I am keeping up with this quilt along and looking forward to the next block.

I am also on the hunt for the elusive June Tailor rulers, so if anyone sees one going for a bargain please contact me!

Block Two Complete!

Block two is complete, after much umming and aahhhing about colour choices. Now I am not so sure about the solid orange. But I am running with it at the moment.

The third block, which I will sew tomorrow, will be more brown I think, as I have a lot of brown FQ to use in my stash.

Need to buy more  chocolate brown fabric though as I will run short I think.

I am having fun doing this quilt with lots of other ladies from around the world!

Two Birthday Presents.

The two lovely ladies who run the play group Georgina and I attend on Wednesdays are both celebrating birthdays this week. So I decided to stitch up these two little pictures for them.

Hope the rain stops so we can walk to playgroup this morning. Might have to put Georgina in a sling and carry her and use the big umbrella!

The First Block.

I was nervous making the first cuts into my fabric, I have been collecting this fabric for ages.

There were more decisions along the way.

Went this route in the end.

Not quite the correct size, but now I know that Georgina can cope without me for the morning and my husband can survive (more importantly!) I will work a little slower next week.

See you then!
