D is Done.

And is up on Georgina's wall, I think I should have begun this project when I was pregnant not now when she is one and a half-ish!

Progress.

Little one 'let' me do some stitching yesterday, so the letter D is progressing nicely.

Here Georgina is helping with taking the photo of the canvas.

Stitching in Progress.

Designs in progress. Will be working on these today, housework and Georgina permitting!

Japanese Theme for Anna-Kate.

Two pictures hung for Anna-Kate. Koi and Cherry Blossoms. Hand stitched for her room. I completed these a while ago but they needed hanging. Another job off my to do list!

Catching Up With Crochet Bunny.

Using a pattern from www.craftster.org, but used a much bigger hook as I wanted the finished item to be large. Trying to use it as a weaning toy for Georgina at night time. We will see if it works.

Have had this project lying about for ages so am glad that it is complete.

Georgina's Alphabet.

The alphabet is coming along nicely. Will start on D once I have worked on a few other WIPs.

Work In Progress.

Luke (my son) requested a ball to hang off his school bag, so the hexagons and pentagons are for that project.

The canvas is C, to go in Georgina's room with the A and B already on her bedroom wall.

Tonight I hope to work on Luke's Union Jack canvas if Georgina lets me!

Umbrella Prints Trimmings Competition 2013.

I chanced upon this competition a little while ago on Pinterest and decided to give it a go. At the moment I am playing with hexagons so decided to use this as a theme. Each hexagon is about a centimetre in size, which was quite a challenge to sew when using the thicker fabrics.

Unpacking the trimmings.

Cutting out the hexagons and pentagons.

The ball in progress, on top of a tiny needle container!

The 3D needle work canvas. It measures only 6 by 6 inches.

My new key ring ball. Shouldn't lose my keys now.

Showing the 3D effect of the canvas.

The hexagon sides measure only 1cm.

And even better I still have lots of trimmings left to make more key rings for Christmas presents for the girls and ladies in my family.

This is the first time I have put my work out there in a competition so wish me luck! Here goes. Good luck to all involved.
